The Medical Centre - Hauora Heretaunga - provides primary medical services at a low cost to enrolled whānau. From doctor and nurse appointments through to specialist renal and diabetes clinics. We also have midwifery clinics on-site two times per week. Whānau care at Hauora Heretaunga is affordable with low consultation fees, free specialist clinics and children under 25 years old are free. If you don’t have transport we can sort that too.

Enrolling with Hauora Heretaunga is easy. Call us on 06 871
5352 or call in and get an information and enrolment pack at
821 Orchard Rd Hastings. Click here to find us on the map.
Enrolments will take about one week to process. Your
old records will be sourced from your existing GP, after which you
can make an appointment to see the nurse and doctor for your
initial new enrolment health check.
Services include standard consultations, WINZ forms, ACC,
Careplus, Footcare, Cervical Screening, Sexual Health Services,
Contraception, referrals and more. The Nurses also provide
immunisations, wound care and liquid nitrogen treatment. Hauora
Heretaunga provides the following specialist clinics;
Cardiac, Renal and Podiatry.
Te Mate Huka Services
Te Mate Huka is new service avaliable at Hauora
Heretaunga that provides support to whānau who have Diabetes. This
service offers clinical and social support with up to date
education for all whānau. This service is coordinated by a
professional clinical team, GPSI(General Practitioner with Special
Interest) Dr Janet Titchener and Practice Nurse Trish Watson.
To access this free service whānau need to be referred to Dr
Titchener by their own General Practitioner.
Dr Titchener and her specialist team operate two half day
