Te Tirahou provides early childhood education within a kaupapa Māori framework. The principles are based on the early childhood curriculumn document Te Whāriki, to support whānau development based around tamariki.
Te Tirahou provides affordable, quality early childhood
education for 6 months - 5 year olds.
There are two designated areas for tamariki. Teina
provides a nurturing educational environment specifically suited to
the needs and abilities of tamariki aged from 6 month to 2.5
years. Mātāmua caters for enquiry based learning for tamariki
aged from 2.5 years to 5 years of age by providing a stimulating
and challenging environment that encourages curiosity, reciprocal
relationships and a sense of well-being through empowerment of all
tamariki by trained Kaiako.
