Our Marae

The Marae and their communities are intrinsically linked to Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga through mana whenua, mana tangata and mana atua.

Within the natural boundaries of Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga there are seventeen (17) active Marae, all of who have representation on the Governance Board, Te Haaro.

It is the vision of Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga to contribute to Marae/ Hapū needs and aspirations in order to support Marae sustainability and rangatiratanga in a changing world.

Please enquire at reception if you would like a free Ngā Marae o Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga Pepeha poster pictured above.
